The root of the problem and what's next for the world economy

The root of the problem is the same as it has been for centuries: credit, which leads to debt that spirals into ever greater debt. Then those who are lenders gamble that they can make even more money by devising new and more lucrative ways for people to go more deeply into debt, while the people themselves gamble on what they consider a sure thing, just what they need to pay off their debts, or set themselves up for retirement, or finance their lifestyles, etc.

Credit has become the drug of choice of the modern world, far more widespread than any other. Individuals, companies and governments must have their fix of it, for they are addicted to it, and the withdrawal symptoms are too painful to endure. Life without credit means no future debt is possible, and often their present debt is so large and overwhelming that they cannot go on without another credit fix.

Like many drug users, however, they do not see that they have a problem. They're surrounded by other users who are in similar situations. "Credit and debt are just the way of the world, a necessity, and nothing to worry about. Everyone does it and no one's especially concerned about it. Besides, it feels good and helps make life more enjoyable. I need it. I've got to have it."

Occasionally the "users," the debtors, feel the pain of their addiction and regret what they've gotten themselves into; but a fresh infusion of credit brings relief and temporary surcease from the pain.

What's next?

What's next for the world economy? Will recession take hold and turn into depression, and will the Crash take place? Or will the economy swing upward again?

The invisible dark powers and its people work slowly. The economy of a country will boom, and those who suddenly have more money feel they should invest it so they can make even more money. And where can they make more money than in the stock market or in an investment fund? They invest their money in stocks or bonds or ask others to manage it for them, and often they do well for a while and invest even more money in such things.

Then suddenly the economy goes down, or some portion of it slumps, and they suffer financial problems or even ruin. But the economy does not remain down. It springs up again and continues its climb, sometimes reaching new heights. So those who were worried about recession or who wanted to keep money aside for a rainy day are reassured. It has only rained for a short time and the sun has come out again, brighter than ever, and it is a beautiful day.

So, little by little, the skeptics are won over to invest their funds, to take a chance on making more money, for the rebounds are relatively quick and they do not feel too much pain. "Yes," they think, "some poor suckers did lose everything in the last little downturn, but that's because they overextended themselves and weren't very smart. I'd never do such a thing—I'm smarter than that."

But they do overextend themselves—if not through the stock market, then through their lifestyle, for they live upon debt. When times are good, they buy more and bigger goods with money they do not have, on credit. And when times are not so good, even then they are encouraged to keep on spending, for their governments tell them that if they were to stop their spending, their consumption, and draw back in prudence to save money, then things would really get worse. "Spend!" is the slogan they are presented with, for in spending they are supposedly able to overcome the downturn.

And there is a rebound, for there are still people to be convinced that things will keep going up—indeed, must keep going up. They too must be won over and convinced to overextend themselves little by little. It is a gradual process of boom, then downturn, then bigger boom, then another downturn.

And one day, when the Darkness and its people have prepared accordingly, the downturn will become a recession, the recession will become a depression, and the depression will become the Crash. It will be a time of turmoil in the world, worldly governments often turn to war to try to restore their economies or to at least divert their people and unite them against an external foe. So there will be wars here and there, nation against nation, in greater numbers and ferocity than in years past.

These things herald the Antichrist and his appearance, but more than that, they herald Jesus second coming to put an end to man's senseless wars and to establish a global economy based on love and truth! The one will follow the other as surely as the day follows the night. (received through the gift of prophecy while in prayer)
